PROJECT 4B : A SINGLE-STOREY FOLLY
Each student is to work on submitting a total of FOUR (4) A1 size presentation boards in landscape orientation. The submission of through planning (site analysis and synthesis), architectural, and interior drawings (sketches, design statement, developed final design, perspectives); and a simple drawing of the technicalities, and building services detailing (selection of materials and construction methods chosen);
The proposed design MUST CONSIDER THE ALL ELEMENT IN THE SITE ANALYSIS (PROJECT 4A) i.e: climate condition, soil condition, accessibility, topography and etc.
-THE SIZE OF THE FOLLY SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 15m² & 10m² (FOR OPEN DECK)
-THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF THE FOLLY SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 5
METRES FROM THE ‘GROUND LEVEL’ TO THE TOP OF ROOF’S RIDGE;
The material for the super structure (main structure) is concrete; plus the use of any materials available locally. The Folly must apply to the Universal Design requirements where applicable.
