Architectural rendering, or architectural illustration, is the art of creating two-dimensional images or animations showing the attributes of a proposed architectural design.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES :
To challenge student’s ability in observing architectural elements of a building as an example and transform it into sketches.
To expose student with different rendering techniques in architecture.
To introduce student with colouring in architecture presentation and how colours help in conveying design ideas and architectural elements.
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS :
Using the selected photo (view) of the colonial building, students are required to transfer the image into 7 art work on A4 size (portrait) cartridge paper using different rendering technique and medium:
1st art work: Black ink pen (Hatching/cross hatching technique).
2nd art work: Black ink pen (stippling technique).
3rd art work: Pencil (Blending technique).
4th art work: Marker (monochromatic colour).
5th art work: Watercolour (warm colour).
6th art work: Watercolour (cool colour).
7th art work: Full colour (mix technique).
